Winning the Real Battle at
Church by David and Diane
Noble is a six-week
discipleship resource that
enables the reader to
understand church conflict,
conflict resolution, biblical
conflict resolution,
peacemaking, biblical
peacemaking, and spiritual
warfare.  This discipleship
book is published by BHC

May I commend to you to the book, Winning the Real Battle at
Church
written by David and Diane Noble.  This wonderful
resource could help your church  members grow and
experience God's blessing as they understand the biblical
responses necessary when a church is going through
difficulty.

This resource is an excellent study that can help God's
people become far more aware of the spiritual realities
behind church conflict and grow the skills necessary to come
out of church conflict with God's smile and blessing upon the
fellowship.

I commend to you this wonderful resource!

Dr. Frank Page is pastor of the First Baptist Church of Taylors,
South Carolina, and past president of the Southern Baptist
Convention, which includes over 16 million members and
42,000 churches.
David and Diane provide an excellent resource for churches
to reclaim fellowship through a Biblical study guide.  I
encourage a journey to discover a win/win solution.

Without a doubt, the most well-known Christian couple in
the early church was Aquila and Priscilla.  This godly
husband and wife team is mentioned no less than six times
in four New Testament books (Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians,
and 2 Timothy).  Among other things they encouraged Paul,
taught Apollos, and eventually became a source of great
blessing to many early congregations.  Paul aptly
summarizes this faithful and fruitful couple as follows:
"Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:  Who
have for my life laid down their own necks:  unto whom not
only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles"
(Romans 16:3,4).

I believe it may rightly be observed that David and Diane are
following in their footsteps, attempting to minister to 21st
century churches as Aquila and Priscilla did for the 1st
century church.  In essence, this book offers two desperately
needed elements:  one - healing medicine for those sick and
troubled churches, and two - preventative medicine to assure
the continued health of the rest of the churches.

I heartily recommend this book.

Dr. H.L. Willmington is the author of ten books including
"Willmington's Guide to the Bible," "Willmington's Bible
Handbook" and "The Outline Bible."
This is an important book for every church leader.  What
pastor or deacon has not gone through the war that David
and Diane Noble has described in
Winning the Real Battle
at Church:  Safeguard Your Congregation Against
Destructive Conflict.
You will find this a valuable tool dealing
with church conflict in a healthy way.
The Devil is alive and real in the church, and he is striving to
create division and disharmony.  Too often, he is successful
because the church is ill-equipped to respond to the conflict.
Winning the Real Battle at Church:  Safeguard Your
Congregation Against Destructive Conflict
is a resource
designed to help correct this problem.  Based on scripture and
filled with practical application, this resource will help your
church defeat the enemy through biblical confrontation and
Christian peacemaking.

That Are Equipped For Spiritual Warfare," and "Putting on the

Conflict has not-so-subtly sapped the strength of the church
since its beginning.  Often Satan is successful because we
choose to deny that conflict exists or we approach it with
solutions that are foreign to Scripture.  But what if we used
biblical principles to solve church conflict?  What if someone
developed an engaging, practical, scriptural guide to
resolving conflicts in our churches?  Enter David and Diane
Noble.  In
Winning the Real Battle At Church they "disciple"
you in the art of getting along in church.  Every local
congregation will benefit from this helpful book, either to
avoid conflict or to abolish it.

As one who personally knows and has worked with David
and Diane Noble, I commend both them and their refreshing
book to you. This book provides an excellent biblical
resource as well as scriptural resolution to the ongoing
problem of church conflict. Few resources of this biblical
nature and congregational practicality are available. I
commend this to you and with the prayer that your church will
see and experience Christ’s unity as we seek to fulfill His
Great Commission.
David and Diane,

Thank you very much for the privilege of reviewing your book,
Winning The Real Battle At Church.  Because of the difficult
days we currently face in our state convention, and because
of the continued decline in our churches, the subtitle,
Safeguard Your Church Against Destructive Conflict is
especially relevant for our Missouri Baptist churches.  Your
work is timely and the truths taught in your book are timeless.

Since church health has become the focus of the executive
office in the Missouri Baptist Convention, I have been
inundated with materials on the subject.  Your book is by far
the most practical I have seen.  The fictional, but factual,
church scenes you have created serve as accurate and vivid
reminders of everyday life in too many churches.  The
worksheets and study materials offer easy to follow, step by
step instruction concerning how to overcome everyday life in
our churches.  The materials found in this book and a Bible
are all that is needed to teach the truths needed to bring our
churches to health.

Thank you for your work.  I recommend this resource to all
Missouri Baptist churches.

If the apostle Paul were here to endorse Winning The Real
Battle At Church:  Safeguard Your Congregation Against
Destructive Conflict
,  I’m confident that he would share some
glowing comments – such as, “Thank God David and Diane
Noble understand my own personal concerns for local
church unity.”  Or, he might say – “Here is an Aquila and
Priscilla team that have taken seriously Jesus’ prayer –  that
all believers may be one so that the world may believe.”

Personally, I believe this book will yield great fruit in
producing mature churches – and rewards in heaven.

Thoroughly biblical while necessarily practical, David &
Diane Noble have identified and hit the true target in
Winning the Real Battle at Church.  This biblical study guide
will help move you and your church to a more proactive, and
less reactive, response to church conflict.  After all, church
conflict is a matter of "when," not "if."  This excellent
resource will help you win the real battle when it comes!

Winning the Real Battle at Church
A Positive, Proactive Resource for Preventing and Resolving Church Conflict
The real battle in church conflict takes place in the human heart, not between Christians.
Winning the Real Battle at Church is a practical six-week
Bible study that focuses on dealing with conflict in the church.
This study is a biblically sound discipleship resource.

The authors have years of experience in a variety of ministry
settings.  The practical interactive way they present the
material provides evidence of their credibility.  They use case
studies to add to the interest of the book.

Integrating
Winning the Real Battle at Church into the life
experience of your congregation will yield lasting fruit
individually and corporately.

in the Spring 2009 issue of Enrichment Journal, the national
journal of the Assemblies of God denomination.

Church conflict takes a big toll on churches, their leadership
and their members each year. Church consultants David
and Diane Noble wrote an interactive study guide this year to
help.
Winning the Real Battle at Church: Safeguard Your
Congregation Against Destructive Conflict
is a workshop-
style study that offers a six-week course centered on
overcoming church conflict.

Daily homework includes reading short church anecdotes
describing various conflicts, studying applicable scriptures,
answering questions and praying. Topics range from the
spiritual aspect of conflict, to leadership roles, criticism,
peacemaking and more.

The main strength of the study is the abundance of
scriptural applications included in each chapter. David
Noble describes the study as a “discipleship resource,” and
because of its consideration of biblical records of conflict
and biblical reactions, the lessons learned are both
practical and spiritual.

The book has strong potential for use in small groups,
Sunday school groups, church-wide study, or for study
during conflict, during leadership transitions, or for
leadership training. Centered more on personal heart
transformations rather than conflicts either theologically or
relationally, the book is poised to impact people to pull the
log out of their own eye before attending to the speck in their
brother’s eye.
